Our Beloved Son is Welcomed Home
After Almost 20 years since its doors opened to so many guests from across the country and overseas, the Shephed's Rest will welcome its final group of guests - our son Major Ken Knox and his family as he retires after 20 years in the Air Force.
There are many of you who may remember him in the booth over 30 years ago when he was barely nine, Now he and our daughter both have children of their own and a third generation from Autumn House will be meeting you all as they have the privilege of helping you share our life here on the land and the wonderful products we create.
For those of you who have come to the farm for so many years to stay at the Shepherd's Rest, please don't despair as we will be offering a whole new series of "Day Trip Get-A-Ways" here at the studio featuring expanded classes, one day retreats, antiquing and artist studio tours, design your own roving days. And of course just hanging out around the fire, spinning, knitting or taking part in our new weaving workshop classes (good food and coffee, as always!)
For those of you who would like to come for extended stays, we are exploring an opportunity to access a nearby historic house for over night stays beginning in September. It is a lovely place and only a very short distance from the farm. Keep you fingers crossed and watch online for more updates as we try to make it happen.
The Farm and Studio will be closed until the end of June so that we can get our son and his family well moved in, but we will so look froward to seeing you all again beginning in July.
Our best wishes and grateful thanks to all of you who have come and stayed with us over the years. We look forward to many more years to come as we explore and are able to offer new opportunities.
